In counseling sessions, my primary effort is to help child, adolescent, or parental clients better recognize their strengths and capabilities, equipping them with skills to replace ineffective past cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns with more effective ones. These sessions aim to enable clients to construct a coherent narrative of their experiences (feelings, thoughts, and past beliefs), providing a foundation for making better decisions in the present.
Assisting clients and offering solutions that help them make better use of their capacities is another key focus during counseling sessions.
