Me and therapy room
Among all communication models, the communication model in the therapy room is unique: therapeutic communication is one-sided, meaning that the client’s needs, conflicts, and problems are always prioritized. In collaboration with the client, I conduct a comprehensive assessment during the initial sessions based on a clinical interview, examining their physical problems, family history, medication use, educational and occupational issues, and emotional relationships. After assessing the psychological status, I reach a diagnosis. Finally, we outline a treatment plan that aligns with the client’s needs and issues, based on the therapeutic approach. Since the schema therapy approach is highly flexible, this process can vary according to the client’s conditions, urgency, and needs.
