I chose the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach in my therapy sessions with clients. I learned this approach by attending online courses of its first advocators, Dr. Hayes and Dr. Strosahl. With this method, we work on the mental and emotional aspects of our experiences and become closer to the present reality. This way, we are looking to clarify our decisions and the meaning of our life. Then we will walk toward them with determination. I keep my client’s company throughout this path, in the group therapy and individual therapy sessions.
