Me and therapy room
My approach to therapy in consulting the Iranian clients is based on the cultural context and the society in which they had grown, the atmosphere in which they live currently, and the imbalance that might occur between these two, such as gender cliches and immigration to a more individualist country.
In the therapy sessions, I focus on the parent-child and other significant relationships on the patterns that show in one’s current life. I try my best to sustain a sincere and sane therapeutic connection with the clients. I consider this connection one of the principal bases of therapy progress. In the couple-therapy sessions, I make sure that I am aware of the necessity for the therapist to keep balance. Therefore, I shall not make a prejudgment or take any side.
